I'm thrilled to share some exciting news from our school community. On Tuesday, eight of our fantastic Year 5 and 6 pupils represented Sheet Primary at the Bohunt participation football event in Liphook.
Our young athletes had a blast, honing their skills and competing in small matches against other schools. They showed great teamwork and determination throughout the day. I'm proud to say we finished 4th out of 8 teams - not too shabby at all!
These events are part of our ongoing commitment to provide plenty of inter-school sporting opportunities. It's wonderful to see our pupils engaging with the wider community and having fun while staying active.
These really are a great opportunity and take up isn't always good so book your child in today:
19/11 Endball Year 1&2
26/11 Protect the President (a version of dodgeball) Year 3/4
10/12 Netball Tournament Year 5 &6
Mrs Robinson, Head teacher.
There were fun and frolics today on our Halloween-inspired sponsored mufti day/run.
So much effort has gone into the dressing up and the children looked amazing in their outfits today. This afternoon we have our Spooky Sponsored Run on our running track, treats and sweets available to buy as a wonderful community event.
Another wonderful Harvest Festival this week
On Tuesday 7 children from Y3/4 took part in the cross country run.
45 children from 6 local primaries took part and the run was twice around Bohunts big sports field.
We had a third and a sixth place during the run, well done to Ted and Remy for that, however ALL of the children did a fabulous job and showed all of our school values in abundance during the run.
A special thank you to the parents who helped transport the children from school and stayed to support and cheer them on.
It was a pleasure to take them, please don’t forget to use this opportunity for extra sports which we make available via our Bohunt Sports membership.

On Friday 4th October, we went to Butser Ancient Farm, for our history topic. We are learning about the Stone Age period. We were so excited! We arrived by minibus and met our guide for the day. William shared lots of historical information about the Stone Ages. We got to walk around a Stone Age village and discovered that the houses were made from cow’s poo, clay and animal skin. Our second activity was clay pottery. We got to mush up a piece of clay and after removing the stones we got to make a model which we could take home. Our third activity was chalk carving. We smoothed the chalk with some flint and we then squeezed some leaves to colour the chalk green. After that, we used the sharp side of the flint to draw patterns. Our fourth activity was to be archaeologists. We dug up a variety of different artefacts. Some of us found flint, some of us found massive pieces of metal, some of us even found skulls and bones. We thoroughly enjoyed our school trip and would love to go back again.

We had lots of lovely feedback from our Infant Grandparents who came for lunch. Here are a few of their comments:
Brilliant football was played by our year 5/6s this week at Bohunt as part of our sports partnership weekly meetings.
They played against two teams from Liss Junior, two teams from Greatham and one team from Haslemere (Camelsdale). The boy put on a fabulous effort despite the wind and rain and the games went like this:
0-0 v Liss
2-2 v Greatham (Ned and Edison)
0-1 v Greatham
0-0 v Liss
1-2 v Camelsdale
Huge thanks to the parents for coming out to support the children as always!
Year 6's pitch up against other Y6s in the area at their quiz this week!
Here are a few children's reviews of their residential trip:
The Year 4 team showed tremendous team spirit and effort on the sunny afternoon up at Bedales against 6 other school teams. It was tough, big pitches, fierce matches & lots of sunshine but the team spirit, the effort, the respect and appreciation of each other shone through. They won 2, drew 1 and lost a couple of matches.
Overall it was a great effort from the team and a huge thank you to Mrs Mifsud and Mrs Dudin who came into school for a training session and who organised and looked after them.
